| Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc. is a multifamily-focused, self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust. Co. owns, operates, acquires and selectively develops apartment communities primarily located in the Southeast, Southwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S.. Its segments include Same Store and Non-Same Store and Other. The Same Store segment represents those apartment communities that have been owned and stabilized for at least 12 months as of the first day of the calendar year. The MAA YTD return is shown above.
